Heather Geiger joined the New York Genome Center in September 2013. Her focus is RNA-Seq. She previously worked with Chris Mason at Weill Cornell, researching gene expression in axons of developing neurons. At the New York Genome Center, she has worked on RNA-Seq projects related to neurodevelopment and neurodegenerative disease, cancer, and autoimmune disease. She has also done extensive work in benchmarking best practices for RNA-Seq analysis, and in developing an automated pipeline to analyze RNA-Seq data.
